Jack wants help to solve a mystery with some old shards deep down in the ice. This time (winter 1900) we join our favorite gang, with Whyborne, Griffin and Christine -now also included Christine's betrothed, Iskander (from book #4)- on a new adventurous trip, this time to a freezing cold Alaska.Ī letter arrives from Griffin's since childhood lost older brother, Jack Hogue. I didn't applause it in the beginning but got used after a while and then really liked the change. Here it is switching POV in every chapters.

These stories has until book #5 always been told from Whyborne's POV (except the free Valentine Day novella #1.5 - Eidolon (4 stars).) That "order" changed here in this new book. In the fifth they took it even a level up and were married. In the next four books their love story went on and grew into an intensely hot steamy addiction. Pretty soon it also became romantic and steaming hot and the first book ended up with a nice HEA. Then, they started together to solve a creepy paranormal mystery adventure. Griffin and Whyborne first met at The Ladysmith Museum where Whyborne works as an comparative philologist when Griffin needed help to decipher an ancient scripture.

“Christine!” Whyborne snapped, brows drawing sharply together.’ A brave woman and a higly admired archaeologist and specialist in the ancient Egyptian pharaohs cultures. Most often we also meet their good friend, Dr. More than everything else in the world put together.” A former shy (virgin) man with fine ancestry from a wealthy railway family. Griffin's lover, is a lovely tall slender younger man, Dr Percival Endicott Whyborne (aka Ival). A very experienced gentleman, with thick skin and a dramatic, slightly dark past history from the big city. The former Pinkerton Detective, Mr Griffin Flaherty, is still a quite newcomer in this small, a bit strange, town Widdershins. Hoarfrost is the sixth part in the very adventurous, and often spooky scary, historical M/M Whyborne & Griffin series by Jordan L. Big applauses and sincerely tributes to yet another really good, entertaining and well-written addition to this series. ~ I maybe was the last one to finish once again. It is an tradition by now to read every new book in this fantastic M/M series with my friends. 4 1/2 Stars - Romantic, exciting, tenderly sentimental and well told.
